Its follow friday once again! As always, this is hosted over at Parajunkee's blog!
This weeks question is:
"How did you come up with your blog name"
I dunno really, I made my blog a long time ago, long before I actually started blogging. But I went through a phase of calling everything 'files' all my documents on my laptop were called 'The college files' or 'The Mouse Files' etc, so it probably came from there. Not very interesting really =/
The weekly blog hop is, as per, hosted over at Crazy for Books and the question for this week is:
"Do you have only one book going at a time, or several at once?"
Well, before I got my kindle, way back when (before last week, haha) I only read one book at a time, and then started another fairly soon after (though most of the time, I was re-reading) but now, I have a couple. I usually have a netgalley book going on my laptop, a 'tired' book which is an easy and old favourite read for when I'm too tired to concentrate on a new book (At the moment I have 2, nightworld: daughters of darkness and the Coven by Cate Tiernan) these are on my kindle, and I just dip in an out of them. And then I'll usually have either a print book or a kindle book on the go too (right now its Once a Witch) Sounds kinda complicated right? But don't worry, I read fast, so it's not really :P Plus the kindle makes reading multiple books super easy *end shameless kindle advertisement*
Apologies for the lack of posts this week, I've been pretty busy campaigning! But later today I'll be posting a guest review of 'The Forest of Hands and Teeth' written by my boyfriend, and that's definitely worth a read!
Happy friday =] as always, comment if you're a new follower so I can follow back!

ReplyDeleteThe Cait Files - I love your explanation. Sounds perfect. :)
I hope you have a relaxing weekend, too! Thanks!
The explanation of your blog name is interesting...
ReplyDeleteYou make having a kindle seem so appealing...
I have to put down books, then start it again. Sometimes becuase I don't like whats happening. Normally because I can't carry the book to school

I really like your name. It isn't generic but it is interesting.
ReplyDeletewww.reflectionsofabookaholic.com
I think your blog name suits perfectly ;) I'm getting used in reading two or more books at once now :p
ReplyDeleteThank you for dropping by my blog! :)
I love my nook - I can have access to dozens of books at a time, without having to physically lug around (real) copies of books.
ReplyDeleteI don't usually re-read books, but I have been lately! I think you're right, when you're tired, it's easier to go back to something familiar.
I like to be able to put all my attention on one book so that's what I do! And since I'm temporarily unemployed and job hunting I can finish books rather quickly! Although it doesn't help that I just keep adding to my TBR pile, including books, Kindle books and NetGalley books!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Friday Hops
Have a GREAT weekend!
Old Follower
Jessica@a GREAT read
Hopping through. I think The Cait Files is cute. I like that it can work with any blog type.
ReplyDeleteMy Hop
I love your blog name! Ereaders make it SO easy on us book fanatics. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!
My Hop!
Thanks for all the blog-name related love guys! I'm glad you all approve!
ReplyDelete@Christy, having an ereader definitely makes it much easier to have a few books on the go at once!
@Nina, I definitely recommend the kindle, especially because it means you can take more than one book to school-it's perfect! I even get some of my textbooks on mine!
@Madigan, I can't imagine not re-reading books! But then, I can't afford to buy as many books as I read usually, so I'm used to constantly re-reading. I must've read some books 5-6 times.
Thanks for all the new follows, I'll be following you all back shortly
Hopping in to say hi and am now following. I am not sure that even if I had a Kindle I would be able to read more than one book at a time. Have a great weekend
ReplyDeleteonly one book at a time for me, stop and see mine.
ReplyDeleteI like the Cait Files. I think it's a great twist on a personal name for a blog.
ReplyDeleteNew Follower here!
ReplyDeleteI love the Cait Files: it's really original. And I love your blog!
Kindles make things really easy: I read a book on my kindle because it's easier to take out and about, and a paper/hardcover as well.
Have a good weekend!

New Follower here. If you have read Nightshade what do you think of the philosophical discussion in the "Big Ideas" class on Hobbes. Must be a really good school!

ReplyDelete@Meg-I love my kindle too, it's so convenient for my bag, cause even in it's case it's the size of a notebook!
@Steph thanks for stopping by! I haven't read nightshade yet, but you've definitely made me more curious about it! I'll have to start racing through my TBR pile so I can give it a go.
Have great weekends guys, once again thanks for stopping by and showing love =]
Thanks for stopping by! Even though it was the Saturday Situation and not the Friday Follow, I was meaning to click over here anyway because your name caught my eye on the list. So anyway, I'm following you back!

Everyone makes having an e-reader sound so appealing. I don't know if I'd actually read more than one book, but for some reason it sounds so much easier to do on an e-reader. I don't really know why.
ReplyDeleteI found your blog through the hop and I'm a new follower. I can't wait to read more of your reviews.
They *are* appealing Najela! Thanks for following, I'm returning the favour as I type :P I dunno what it is about them that makes you read more than one book at a time, but I never did till I got mine.
ReplyDeleteNewest follower here via the Friday hop. I am a new contemporary romance author and I reader of almost anyting! Hope you stop by and check out my blog.
