Follow Friday [15]

Follow and Feature Friday is hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read!!

This week's question is:

"If you could change the ending of a book/series what would you change? Why and to what?"

LOL I think this will be an interesting one to read the answers for..I would change the ending of the Vampire Academy Series by Richelle Mead (so if you don't want to be spoiled, look away now!)

I've never made a secret of the fact I am totally team Adrian. So I would have Dimitri die...maybe saving Lissa/Rose from Tasha and then Rose would end up with Adrian (and she would end up with Adrian, because Dimitri would have stuck to his claim that he could never love Rose again anyway, even if he hadn't died...)

I bet you all hate me right now yeah? But I felt the ending was really unfair on Adrian (though it did pave the way for Bloodlines I guess) but still, that is how I would have liked it to end!

  1. LOL. Bit of an extreme ending there :P. I'm Team Dimitri, so I completely disagree! Plus, exactly, if Adrian ended up with Rose, we wouldn't have Bloodlines :P. But each to their own! :D Have a great weekend :).

  2. I am right there with you.. Totally Team Adrian. My heart broke at the ending when he confronted Rose. I wanted to scream and then chuck the book-lol

    Happy Friday!

  3. New follower, hopping through! Hahaha this is awesome, I have to admit I'm team Dimitri all the way, but I did think about what the ending would've been like if Rose ended up with Adrien. For awhile you totally thought that's what was going to happen! I would have been happy if that's how it ended though, I think.
    Nice answer!

  4. Okay so I loved Dimitri buuuuut I can totally see why you love Adrian:D Also the ending in general felt a bit rushed and almost as if Richelle Mead was just setting the book up for Bloodlines. Do you agree?:D

    Great post, new follower:D

  6. Oh Cait! Your ending would've had me in tears and agony! I wasn't a die hard Dimitri fan, but I still <3 him. As I did Adrian.

Hoping Adrian finds love better in Bloodlines! Which I still haven't gotten in the mail yet! :(

    Here's my Friday Hops

    Have a GREAT weekend!

  7. New follower here! I kinda agree with you on the ending to Vampire Academy. Adrian was a favorite of mine and I felt he kinda got jipped in the end. But oh wells. Have a happy follow friday!!! Feel free to follow back at http://www.booklove101.blogspot.com

  8. I totally agree Dimitri should've died in book 4. I'm Team Adrian too but I don't think he should've ended up with Rose becuase she treated him like rubbish and our Adrian deserves better, right? Also, I never connected to Dimitri at all, I didn't hate him or anything like that, I was just indifferent.

I would've liked for Rose to have met someone else and moved on, I thought it would've been nice to show that the first love doesn't always work out and you can still find love & happiness afterwards.

Okay so my endings a bit sappy but still haha. I do like this series btw but I could rant about how I dislike Rose a wee bit because of the whole Adrian thing. I won't here though, this comment is already way too long.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Following! :)

  9. I don't hate you :-)
I didn't like Last Sacrifice at all (now everybody probably hates me). The whole book seemed more like the set up for Bloodlines than an ending to the VA series.

Already a follower! Hope you have a great weekend :-)

  13. I felt SOOO bad for Adrian at the end of Last Sacrifice! I'm really glad he's getting another chance though. :)

  14. LOL geez, you could have just poor Dimitri back to Russia or something - but no, you KILL HIM! *shakes head in disappointment* :P

I'm a huge Adrian girl too, but after Bloodlines... well, I prefer him with that love interest :) And I've always been a Rose/Dimitri shipper, even though I hated that Adrian had his heart broken ;(

  15. Sorry it took me so long to come by and comment. This weekend was crazy!

I've seen another revamp (no pun intended, lol) of the VA series. I didn't read either of them because I haven't read them yet. I need to, I know. :)

  16. You know, I never cared for Adrian, but the one thing I was glad to see was that he was really, really, rightfully angry at the end of the book.

Rose IS a cheating cheater! Adrian had every right to be upset. (Even if Dmitri and Rose are destined for each other.) :P
