2012 Challenge: YA Contemp

I was saying just the other day that I need to read more YA Contemp. I read alot when I was younger, but then moved into Paranormal and never looked back. However, one of my favourite ever books is a  YA Contemp, and I just finished Saving June which I adored, so I think I need to give contemp another go. Plus, one of the reasons I started blogging was to re-expand my reading and what a better way to do it?

The 2012 YA Contemp challenge is hosted by Katie from Katie's Book Blog and Angela from Reading Angel

You can find out more about the challenge and sign up to join me on it here

There are 3 levels to choose from, and I've opted for Level 1 which is 5+ books.  I reckon this is achievable for me! The books I've chosen are:

Fracture by Megan Miranda
Dont Breathe a Word by Holly Cupala
The Fault in our Stars by John Green
The Unquiet by Jeannine Garsee
In Honor by Jessi Kirby

I'm really looking forward to this challenge, I hope it will invigorate my past love of contemp and introduce me to some awesome new books/authors!

Are you participating? If so, link me to your post so I can see what books you've chosen!

Your list looks great! Don't Breath a Word was AMAZING!!! All the rest are on my WL!!!!! (I'm dying for In Honor!!!)

  4. I dunno if Fracture counts (its on the GR 2012 contemp list) as I thought it was more of a thriller...but yeah, on the list and I own it so it's counting for me XD

I thought you'd be pleased with me taking up this challenge Kate :P
