Follow Friday!

So every Friday this awesome meme happens hosted by Rachel at:  Parajunkee.com
The basic premise is that book bloggers can post their links, so people can check out their blogs and also so they can check out other blogs! Hopefully everyone will get some new followers, friends, recommendations etc.

Here are the rules:

To join the fun and make now book blogger friends, just follow these simple rules:

  1. (Required) Follow the Follow My Book Blog Friday Host { Parajunkee.com} and any one else you want to follow on the list
  2. (Required) Follow our Featured Bloggers - http://nakeshabrown.blogspot.com/
  3. Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing.
  4. Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say hi in your comments
  5. Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don't just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don't say "HI"
  6. If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love...and the followers
  7. If you're new to the follow friday hop, comment and let me know, so I can stop by and check out your blog!

There's also a question for everyone to answer, and this week's isssssssss:

"Share your current favourite TV show and tell us a bit about it!"

Well, this is a bit freaky, cause I'm also doing the 30 day photo challenge I borrowed off facebook, and Day 3 was a pic of my fave TV show which I posted with some info about it 2 days ago! My favourite tv show atm is Criminal Minds, and you can see my blog post on it, if you'd like to, here: http://thecaitfiles.blogspot.com/2011/02/30-day-photograph-challenge-day-three.html

So I'm looking forward to checking out loads of new people's blogs, if you check mine out I hope you like, and please leave a comment! Also tell me what your fave TV show is! (especially if it's also Criminal Minds!!)

I'm also gonna add my Friday Feature in here which I've decided to do. This is Five Friday Favourites!

I decided to be ambitious for my first week of this and go for my Five Favourite Book Series (any genre, tho tbh they're probs all YA/Paranormal Romance/Urban Fantasy) EVER!! So here they are, in reverse order

5. WICCA Series by Cate Tiernan. This was one of the first YA series I read back when I was 13ish, and totally obsessed with Witchcraft. My mum bought me the first 2 books, and I ended up getting hooked on them, and getting a fair few of my friends totally hooked too! I think these got re-released recently, which is cool cause I don't own them all. I'd definitely recommend them.

4: In at number 4 is the Southern Vampire Mysteries (Or the Sookie Stackhouse books, True Blood novels) by Charlaine Harris. This was another series I started early, my good friend Amy lent me the early books back when we were about 15 and it's always been a favourite of mine! I think my favourite book in the series is number 4, and I'm totally team Eric.

3. Strange Angels Series by Lilith Saint Crow. Reading this series was pure chance! It had been on my radar for a while, and I wasn't sure if I'd like it, but then the charity I volunteered for held a book sale, and someone had donated the first 2 books! I bought them (2 for £1, bargain!) and I'm SO glad I did! I can't wait for the 4th in the series to come out next month.

2. A very predictable entry here: Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead. I bought the first book in this series for my friend Amy (same Amy as above, we share a lot of books) for her 17th birthday and we both absolutely LOVED it, we've been firm followers of the whole series since then, and I'm kinda sad it's come to an end. I'm definitely Team Adrian here, I feel that may cause some controversy :P

Aaaand in at number 1: The Nightworld Series by L.J Smith. I think Amy lent me some of this series too, waywayway back when we were 13/14. I was newly into the Vampire phase of my life at this point I think, and Nightworld was just perfect. Incase you guys don't know, the basic premise is that Nightworlders (vamps, weres, witches etc) are forbidden from revealing the existence of their world to the humans, and from falling in love with them. The series follows a range of Nightworlders and their human Soulmates. L'J Smith has never released the final book in this series, despite it being out for...two decades, I think? And the publication date keeps moving, but hopefully we'll get the final installment soon. These also got re-released recently, so definitely check them out!

Let me know what you think of my list!

  11. I spent some time meandering over this on my blog but came up with one not-so-clear winner – Human Target.

There were two very close runner-ups. Follow me back to my blog and find out which TV shows came close – and why. I promise you won’t be bored!

    Thank God it’s Follow Friday!

I've never watched that show, but I love your series list!
I would definitely have to add the Sweep books by Cate Tiernan also, as well as the Sookie Stackhouse books. I never know what to call them; when I first borrowed the first three from a friend of mine, they were all in an omnibus called Dead in Dixie.
    Anyway, happy Friday!
