Teaser Tuesdays

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

I'm currently reading My Soul to Take by Rachel Vincent.
Buy it here: Amazon UK /Amazon USA

Brief Description:
Kaylee lives with her Aunt and Uncle and her Cousin, and like every teenage girl, she occasionally gets the unavoidable urge to scream. Unlike every other teenage girl, Kaylee screams when she's in the vicinity of someone who's about to die. This urge unfortunately occurs when Kaylee is out in the company of the hottest boy in the entire school, Nash. Now he's gonna think she's a total freak, right?

Page 133:  "I'm not crazy. " I met his clear green eyes, daring him to argue."
He smiled, and the resulting smile lines somehow made him look even younger than usual. "I never said you were."

I guess maybe this is actually 4 lines and I'm kinda cheating....but the spoken parts are so short I don't they can be classed as full sentences.....

Let me know what you think of the teaser! Or if you've read this book...or if you now want to read this book! and post links to your own Teaser Tuesday posts please =]

I'm also gonna add in my 30 day photo challenge day 9 photo, as an added bonus extra, you know.

Actually, it's because I can't be bothered making another post for it. But day 9 is the picture of someone who's gotten you through the most, so here's a picture of my boyfriend, Lee:

This is a pretty old pic of him, and he'll probably kill me for posting it, but I think he looks like a little evil faerie so I love it.

  1. Great teaser! Love Rachel's books, both YA and adult! And it's okay to go over 2 sentences. For me it's a rare day when my teaser follows those rules! And there are times when I'm really close, like today, but break it by throwing in another because I couldn't choose between the two!

  3. Never heard about this book before, but it seems really interesting. Great teaser, and if thats cheating then I've been cheating a lot, I don't like to put short sentences for teaser either, though sometimes less is enough

I can't wait to read your review it just might give me the push I need to start a new series (seriously if I start I have to buy all of the books because it becomes an addiction):).
